It comes as a solution for injection, to be administered by a healthcare provider under the skin.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

Initial- The recommended dose is 9 mcg administered three times a week as a single subcutaneous injection for 24 weeks.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with autoimmune hepatitis, during pregnancy , planning to become pregnant, or breast-feeding and known hypersensitivity.

This medication is an interferon, prescribed for hepatitis C virus infection.
