How to Take Trifluopromazine and it's Dose


It comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein or muscle.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

Adult: IV- Nausea and vomiting: The recommended dose is 1 mg/dose. Max: 3 mg/day.
IM- Psychoses: The recommended dose is 60-150 mg/day.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with preexisting CNS depression, coma, bone marrow depression, blood dyscrasias, 1st trimester pregnancy and hypersensitivity.

This medication is an antipsychotic agent, prescribed for nausea and vomiting and psychoses.
