• Zaltoprofen comes as a tablet to be taken by mouth.
• It should be taken with food to avoid gastric discomfort.
• The recommended adult dose is 80mg three times daily.
• Peptic ulcer with or without a rupture in the gastrointestinal tract as the NSAID group causes gastrointestinal bleeding.
• Ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease (inflammatory bowel disease)
• Blood abnormalities
• Cardiovascular disease as some cardiovascular deaths have been noted with some NSAIDs.
• Asthma, since it could cause an asthmatic attack.
• Allergy to the drug
• Severe liver or kidney damage
