Other Precautions :
- Patients with intracranial bleeding should be careful while using avapritinib
- Cognitive abnormalities can occur. Depending on abnormalities, dose should be adjusted.
- In females of reproductive age and who may get pregnant, proper contraceptives should be used during the treatment and for one week after the last dose is administered.
- In males with female partners proper contraceptives should be used during the treatment to prevent pregnancy as the drug can cause fetal harm.
