Side effect(s) of Axicabtagene Ciloleucel

  Gastrointestinal
: Nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, decreased appetite

  Nervous system
: Encephalopathy, fatigue(tiredness), headache, tremors, dizziness or lightheadedness

  Cardiovascular
: Cardiac arrhythmias (abnormal heart rhythm), hypotension or low blood pressure tachycardia (increased heart rate)

  Respiratory
: Cough

  Others
: Cytokine release syndrome (symptoms include fever, chills, fatigue, nausea, low blood pressure), febrile neutropenia (low blood count) infections, hypoxia (low levels of oxygen in the body)

  Lab monitoring
: Blood tests should be done to monitor the cell counts.
Inform your doctor immediately in case of side effects like fever (100.4°F/38°C or higher), difficulty breathing, chills, confusion, dizziness or lightheadedness, severe nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, fast or irregular heartbeat, severe fatigue or weakness.

Other Precautions :

Axicabtagene is not recommended for women who are pregnant.

Breastfeeding women should consult the doctor before using axicabtagene.

Sexually active females of reproductive age group should have a pregnancy test before starting treatment with axicabtagene.

Inform your healthcare provider that you received axicabtagene and show them your axicabtagene patient wallet card.

Axicabtagene Ciloleucel is used for the treatment of cancer called B-cell lymphoma (non-Hodgkin lymphoma) that is resistant to other kinds of therapy in adults.
