Drug Name : Ethoheptazine

Ethoheptazine generic Ethoheptazine is prescribed for the treatment of mild to moderate pain and muscle relaxation. Being an opioid analgesic, it produces effects similar to other opioids that include analgesia, sedation, dizziness and nausea. It is well tolerated and non-addictive. It was invented in the 1950s but is no longer marketed in the United States. The trade name for ethoheptazine when it was in use was Zactane. It was also available as Equagesic which is a combination product with acetylsalicylic acid and meprobamate that was used for the treatment of conditions where both pain and anxiety are present. Equagesic was also later discontinued in the United States.
