Side effect(s) of Rebamipide

  Skin:
Rash, pruritus, drug-eruption-like eczema

  Gastrointestinal:
Constipation, bloating, diarrhea, nausea, vomitting, stomach upset, heartburn, abdominal pain, belching, taste abnormality

  Others:
Cold sweat, difficulty breathing

Other Precautions :

• Proceed immediately to the nearest emergency department if an allergic reaction occurs (difficulty in breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives).

• Patient should be closely monitored for leukopenia, thrombocytopenia and hepatic dysfunction.

Drug Name : Rebamipide

Rebamipide is prescribed for the treatment of peptic ulcers, gastroduodenal ulcers, and gastric disorders. It is indicated during bleeding, erosion, redness, and edema that occur in acute gastritis and acute exacerbation of chronic gastritis.
