The
Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences was approved by the Government
of India, MCI and Pondicherry University for MBBS course in the year 2002
with an intake of 100 students and the first batch was admitted for the
academic year 2002 - 2003. This notice is
for the second batch of students to be admitted in 2003,
subject to further approval by Government of India, MCI and Pondicherry
University.
The
Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences, a unit ot Madras Medical
Mission, is the culmination of a vision to create a world class medical
institute with state of the art facilities. Set up in Pondicherry in a
serene environment of greenery, not far away from the sea, the campus provides a
congenial atmosphere for learning.
Admission Criteria
Age :
Not less than 17 years on 31 December
2003.
Eligibility : A pass in 10+2 examination or
equivalent with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (45%
for SC / ST candidates).
Seats are allocated for Government of
Pondicherry and MMM (All India) candidates. Eligible candidates will be
selected based on merit as per the respective
allocation.
