Interview Tips

  1. Interviews may be conducted by several people from different departments
  2. Interviews usually involve
    1. Observing staff
    2. Patients

      and the setting for some length of time.
  3. You may be questioned on your reaction to a particular medical situation / follow up procedure and so on.
  4. The over all impression, which should be projected at the end of the interview, is that you are a professional who is both enthusiastic and intelligent.
A few dos and don'ts regarding professional appearance:
  1. Be punctual
  2. Dress in business attire (Suit / tie for men
    and suit (with skirt, not slacks) and hose for women).
  3. Dress in conservative colours (black, brown, grey, navy, tan and cream).
  4. Avoid bright or unusual colours.
  5. Do not wear strong perfume.
Tips on concluding the interview:
  1. End the interview in a positive and enthusiastic way.
  2. Shake hands with the interviewer and thank them for their time.
  3. Remember to send a follow up within 2 business days to thank the interviewer.
The Thank you / Follow up letter:
  1. If you are interested in the position, thank the interviewer for their time and consideration with a follow up letter not exceeding more than 1 or 2 paragraphs.
  2. Express your enthusiasm and interest in the position.
  3. Make sure to mention about the position you are interested in.
