DEVON, Pa., Dec. 8 DecisionOne Corporation today announced that industry veteran Kenneth G. Murray has joined the technology maintenance and support company as Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing. In this role, Mr. Murray has responsibility for implementing the company's sales growth plan focused on selling and marketing to IT hardware and solutions providers, including those in targeted vertical markets such as healthcare (see recent DecisionOne sales and marketing healthcare news here).

Mr. Murray joins DecisionOne from SGI, a merged company from the former Silicon Graphics, Inc. (SGI) and Rackable Systems. While at Rackable, Mr. Murray was the Vice President of Global Services where during his two-year tenure he doubled services revenues, and moved the organization to profitability. Prior to Rackable, Mr. Murray led the Global Services Management organization for NetApp's strategic accounts for three years. In this position, he led the re-engineering of the support and professional services organization that resulted in a tripling of services revenue and the placement of NetApp's services within Gartner Group's "leadership quadrant." Prior to NetApp, Mr. Murray served as CEO of Mockingbird Networks, COO of Appiant Technologies, and at Hewlett Packard where he spent twenty years in various senior management capacities.
