Department of Health to Offer Free Kidney Function Screenings in Recognition of 'World Kidney Day'

The Pennsylvania Department of Health will offer free kidney screenings from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, March 9 in the Rotunda in the Capitol's East Wing to recognize World Kidney Day. Physicians will check blood pressure and review medical evaluation forms.

Deputy Secretary for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Janice Kopelman will also be on hand to read Governor Corbett's proclamation marking Thursday, March 10 as Pennsylvania Kidney Awareness Day. For more information, visit www.worldkidneyday.org.
