ST. LOUIS, Nov. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Leprosy is completely curable but it still exists. A quarter of a million new cases are diagnosed every year and 60% of them are found in India. Those afflicted with the disease are outcast from society and live in desolation.

Leprosy does not discriminate by age or social status – the disease impacts the young, the middle-aged, and the elderly. It not only completely ravages the body; it tears apart families.

Rhino Hyde Productions, an international, full-service creative agency, visited Tamil Nadu, India, because of the life-changing efforts of an organization called Embrace a Village. They observed people full of hope – maybe for the first time – in the midst of their despair.

Over the past year, Academy Award-winning film Lion and Netflix series Daughters of Destiny have brought India into the limelight. So you might be asking: Who is Embrace a Village?

This nonprofit organization (501c3) uses 100% of its donations to provide medical, nutritional, and spiritual care to those who have contracted leprosy in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. Embrace a Village also provides private schools and dormitories for the children of those who have leprosy. Every day, more than 50 local team members physically provide hope, healing, and care to 3,500 people in 35 colonies through the schools, hospice centers, and hostels.

Embrace a Village is a philanthropic and world-changing organization created by entrepreneurs in the Midwest. In fact, founders Joe and Pat Clendenny rank among some of the bravest and most successful entrepreneurs – having owned and sold more than 10 businesses, including the very first New Balance Store on Michigan Avenue.

Rhino Hyde Productions has directed, produced and now releases a short film sharing the amazing work being accomplished. Upon our return from India, we have a heart to share these stories with the people in our country.

Would you please watch our short film, and would you please consider sharing this message?

Please make a difference today by sharing this on-air, through your social media platforms or by interviewing its founder, Joe Clendenny, who shares his personal experience of 50 trips to serve in a powerful way.

Our hopes and goals are to see leprosy eradicated and raise the level of support. We need your help to get the word out. Thank you.
