It was first offered in November 2009, making Leonard among the first physicians in the country to qualify for this achievement.
Leonard has had a distinguished career in pediatric heart surgery and joined Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children in 2009 when he formed the Rocky Mountain Pediatric Heart Surgery practice in Denver.
He was previously at Children's Medical Center of Dallas and has more than 20 years experience as a pediatric heart surgeon.
A Colorado "native son" from Grand Junction, he completed his undergraduate work at Mesa State College and Colorado State University, then graduated from Medical School at the University of Colorado.
About Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children
