VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Nov. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Vanrx Pharmasystems, a manufacturer of advanced sterile filling solutions for the pharmaceutical industry, will launch its SA25 Aseptic Filling Workcell into the Indian market at P-MEC India 2016.
Vanrx will be exhibiting in Hall 7, Stand S13, which takes place from 21-23 November 2016 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. Visitors to the stand can see the Workcell operating in a 360-degree virtual reality video experience. The company will also distribute its new whitepaper, titled "A New Paradigm for Manufacturing Injectable Medicines" which details the workcell approach and how it benefits production flexibility and quality.
The SA25 Aseptic Filling Workcell is the world's first gloveless robotic isolator for fill-finish of injectable (parenteral) drug products. The Workcell uses robotics to perform all material handling, filling and container closing activities. It was designed by pharmaceutical veterans who wanted to solve long-standing aseptic processing problems in conventonal fill-finish systems. Their goal was to make the production of complex drug products easier and improve patient safety.
"Companies that take advantage of the technological advancements provided by the SA25 Workcell will bring their drug products to market faster and beat their competition, achieving superior market share and profitability. Vanrx has its first major customer in India and hopes to meet more companies who want to build world-class manufacturing operations at P-MEC India," said Chris Procyshyn, CEO and co-founder of Vanrx Pharmasystems.
A major generic pharmaceutical company recently installed a Vanrx Workcell at its Indian production facilities. The Workcell is an excellent fit for the Indian market, with its emphasis on generics, biosimilars and contract manufacturing. Its flexibility to fill vials, syringes or cartridges enables the production of a wide range of drug products on a single machine.
Key benefits of the SA25 Workcell include:
