New T-cell Leukemia Target Mutations

Leukemia is cancer that affects the blood forming tissue including the bone marrow and the lymphatic system. There are several classifications of leukemia based on the rate of progression of the cancer and the type of blood cells that are affected by the cancer. T- cell acute lymphoid or lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) is a cancer of the blood forming tissue that forms 15% of all acute lymphoid leukemia (ALL). Around 70% of all T-ALL cases are diagnosed in individuals below 20 years of age.
