The World Contraception Day observed on 26th September is an annual event to raise awareness of contraception and to enable young people to make informed choices about their sexual and reproductive health. In 2007, the World Contraception Day was observed for the first time. It was initiated by ten international family planning organizations with a vision of a world where every pregnancy is wanted.
