Elumicchaiyodanam (Lemon Rice)

Preparation

Ingredients

  • Lemon - 1 fruit
  • Rice - 1 cup
  • Sesame oil - 3 Spoons
  • Mustard - 1 teaspoon
  • Black gram - 1 Spoon
  • Split chickpea - 1 Spoon
  • Green chilly - 1
  • Turmeric powder - 1 Pinch
  • Curry Leaves - Few
  • Asafetida - 1 Pinch
  • Salt - To taste

Method

  1. Cook the rice
  2. Season mustard, black gram, split chickpea, green chilly, turmeric powder, curry leaves, and asafetida in sesame oil
  3. Add this to the cooked rice
  4. Add salt and lemon juice to the rice
  5. Mix them well and serve
