Mung Dal Payasam

Ingredients

  • Mung dal (hulled green gram) – 1 cup
  • Chickpea (hulled) – ¼ cup
  • Jaggery – 1 cup
  • Cardamom powder – 1 spoon
  • Cashew nuts – 8
  • Ghee – 1 spoon

Method

Cook green gram and chickpea in water. After it has become soft mix the jaggery. Boil it till the jaggery dissolves in it. Add 1 spoon of cardamom powder in it. Roast the cashews in the ghee and add it to the mixture. Now the tasty Payasam can be enjoyed.
