Deccan Hemp Leaves

Indications:

  • It is mild laxative

Preparation:

Ingredients:

  • Deccan-hemp leaves – 1 bunch
  • Red chilies - 10
  • Green chilies - 5
  • Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Urad dal - 1 tbsp
  • Sesame oil - ½ cup
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
  • Jaggery - 1 big cube
  • Rock salt - to taste
  • Water - as required

Method:

Wash the leaves, dry and chop them. Sauté it in a pan for few minutes till it collects in the center. Keep aside to cool. Take a pan, add few drops of oil and fry the red and green chillies, fenugreek, mustard seeds, and urud dal. Using a mixer, blend the leaves and the ingredients to a coarse paste by adding a small amount of water. Sauté the paste with sesame oil for few minutes. This can be preserved for a month. - Laziness

Dear sir, I read the health benefits of mint leaves. Many are not aware of this. It is amazing that it can cure digestive disorders, liver disorders, vomiting etc. I thank you sir for the information. This must be made known to the public in popular news papers or TV. I have a personal problem. I have stomach irritation, belching and regurgitation after every meal. English medicines are not very effective. Some kind of home remedy, I shall greatly appreciate.
