Acne: A disorder of the skin marked by inflammation of oil glands and hair glands.Antibiotics: A drug used to treat infections caused by bacteria and other microorganisms.
Follicle: The hair follicle houses the root of the hair.
Inflammation: A response of redness, swelling, pain, and a feeling of heat in certain areas, which is meant to protect tissues, affected by injury or disease.
Lesion: An area of abnormal tissue change.
Puberty: The time when body changes particular to the sex occur and when reproduction becomes possible.
Rash: A temporary eruption on the skin.
Scar: A mark in the skin made by a wound or ulcer, which remains after the healing process is complete.
Sebaceous glands: Secretary glands of skin that open into hair follicles and skin pores and are widely distributed on the body.
Sebum: Oily secretions of the sebaceous glands.
