Non- Hodgkin’s Lymphoma

Non- Hodgkin’s lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system includes the bone marrow, liver, spleen, and lymph nodes. It produces white blood cells called lymphocytes, which are responsible for immunity. Sometimes, it produces abnormal lymphocytes. These abnormal lymphocytes keep multiplying, leading to a cancer called lymphoma.

Symptoms of Non – Hodgkin’s lymphoma

The patient usually has symptoms of night sweats, fever and weight loss. The lymph nodes may appear as painless swellings under the skin. Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma can affect the brain and cause headaches, seizures or paralysis. It can affect any organ including the gastrointestinal tract, bone marrow, liver and lungs.
