AIDS: Acronym for “Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome” caused by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).Myelogram/Myelography: A diagnostic imaging procedure that uses a contrast dye and X-rays or computed tomography (CT) to look for problems in the spinal canal, including the spinal cord and nerve roots.
Myelopathy: Disease of the spinal cord.
Spinal Tap: Also known as lumbar puncture, it is a technique that takes samples of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), which surrounds the brain and spinal cord.
Tinnitus: Ringing or buzzing sound in the ears.
