Cirrhosis: A type of chronic, progressive liver disease.Atresia: Congenital absence of an opening in a hollow structure.
Portal hypertension: Increased blood pressure in the portal vein.
Cholangiogram: Radiographic imaging of the bile ducts after the direct injection of radio-opaque dye.
Ultrasound: A diagnostic imaging technique which uses high-frequency sound waves and a computer to create images of blood vessels, tissues, and organs. Ultrasounds are used to view internal organs as they function, and to assess blood flow through various vessels.
Bile Duct: A tube through which bile passes in and out of the liver.
