Allergen: A substance that causes an allergic reaction.Atopic Dermatitis: An itchy inflammation of the skin.
Caucasian: A white-skinned person of European origin.
Celiac Disease: A disease that results from an immune reaction to eating gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley and rye.
Conjunctivitis: Inflammation or infection of the outer membrane of the eyeball and the inner eyelid.
Dysphagia: A condition in which there is difficulty in swallowing.
ELISA: Acronym for enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, it is a test that detects and estimates antibodies in the blood.
Food Impaction: A condition in which food gets stuck inside the esophagus causing blockage.
GERD: Acronym for gastroesophageal reflux disease, it is a digestive disease in which the stomach acid flows backwards into the esophagus and causes irritation and inflammation.
Rhinitis: Irritation and swelling of the mucous membrane in the nose.
Stricture: A narrowing of a canal or tube in the body.
