Glossary:
Gastroparesis: A form of nerve damage that affects the stomach. Food is not digested properly and does not move through the stomach in a normal way, resulting in vomiting, nausea, or bloating and interfering with diabetes management.Gastroscopy: Visualisation of the internal lining of the stomach via a lighted instrument introduced through the mouth and esophagus or gullet.
Vagus nerve: Nerve that serves the esophagus, larynx, stomach, intestines, lungs and heart.
