Leiomyomas: A benign smooth-muscle tumor, usually in the uterus or gastrointestinal tract. Also called fibroid.Placenta praevia: An abnormal location of the placenta in which it partially or completely covers the internal opening of the cervix.
Placenta abruption: Separation of the placenta from the inner wall of the uterus before labor begins.
Multiparity: A term to indicate women who have given birth multiple times.
Cesarian: Surgery to deliver a fetus from the uterus.
Preeclampsia: An illness of pregnancy characterized by high blood pressure, swelling or edema, and proteinuria.
