Glossary

DNA: Deoxyribonucleic acid present in chromosomes. It carries genetic information.

Lesions: An area in the tissue or organ which has had some damage due to disease or injury. Like precancerous lesions in cervical cancer.

RNA: Ribonucleic acid which acts as messenger carrying instructions from DNA for protein synthesis processes.

Warts: A skin growth caused by some types of viruses especially the HPV virus. Warts look like small blisters.
