Acromegaly: It is a hormonal disorder that results when the pituitary gland produces excessive growth hormone (GH) in adulthood after attainment of puberty.Benign tumor: A benign tumor is noncancerous and does not pose a risk of spreading to other body parts.
Cushing's disease: This is caused due to the abnormal levels of corticosteroids in the body. Weight gain and obesity are the common symptoms associated with it.
CT Scans and MRI Scans: These are imaging tests, similar to x rays, that help in the diagnosis of various health conditions.
Hemochromatosis: A genetic disorder in which too much iron is absorbed from food.
Metastases: Malignant ("cancerous") deposits from cells.
Estrogen: A group of hormones (produced mainly in the ovaries) that are necessary for female sexual development and reproductive functioning.
Osteoporosis: It is a bone disease that leads to an increased risk of fractures.
Progesterone: Female sex hormone released by the ovaries during every menstrual cycle to prepare the uterus for pregnancy and the breasts for milk production.
Prolactinomas: The term is used to describe pituitary adenomas that cause excessive production of Prolactin.
