AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome): An infection due to HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) that severely damages the immune system.Hypothermia: A life-threatening emergency due to low body temperature causing rapid deterioration of the person's mental and physical state.
HIV: Human Immunodeficiency Virus; the virus that is responsible for causing AIDS.
Malabsorption: Poor absorption of nutrients from the intestinal tract into the bloodstream.
Malnutrition: Deficiency of nourishment in the body due to lack of healthful food or improper digestion and distribution of nutrients.
