Take time to enjoy and relax: Hobbies, holidays, walking in a local park and other such relaxing activities can keep the anxiety at bay.
Connect with others: Develop and maintain friendship with people around you and take some time off to spend with them. The quality of our personal relationships contributes to our mental well-being.
Take care of yourself: Never ignore yourself: Amidst all kinds of responsibilities at home and work, take time for yourself. Be active and eat healthy.
Shared interests: Joining any kind of social group or club can help share common interests and provides a sense of belonging.
Volunteer for a community cause: Contributing to the community in your own way, whether in cash or kind can give a satisfactory feeling and improves self-worth and self-esteem. This can go a long way to help stay mentally healthy.
Learn something new: Join any kind of classes, learn a new skill or take a challenge to meet a goal. Fitness goals, cookery classes and other such activities can help divert from the routine life.
Rest and refresh: Get regular sleep and stick to a sleep schedule. A little time spent on letting the mind wander away, in day dreaming, etc can help refresh your mind.
Deal with stress: Understand the reasons for your stress and learn to prepare for them or manage them, instead of running away from them. Understanding the triggers of the stress can help in think rationally and act purposefully.
Live the moment: Live life as it comes and accept things that cannot be changed. Practice mindfulness and enjoy each moment.
Seek help: Speak to your doctor or a trusted friend or relative if things are going beyond your control. People around can help you if you are open with your problem rather than withdrawing away into your own world.
