Autosomal dominant: It is a pattern of inheritance where both the parents are carriers of the disease.Autosomal recessive: It is a pattern of inheritance where a single parent is the carrier of the disease.
Co-oximeter: It is a device which measures the oxygen-carrying capacity of hemoglobin.
Pulse oximeter: It is a device which measures the oxygen saturation in blood. It is non-invasive and painless based on a sensor mechanism.
G6PD: It is a hereditary disorder where the body does not have sufficient enzyme glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase which helps RBCs function normally. This can cause hemolytic anemia and other infections.
