Oral candidiasis: A yeast infection caused by the fungus Candida albicans in the mouth

Antiseptic: An agent that prevents or retards growth of germs

Oral cavity: The cavity inside the mouth

Oral mucosa: It is a layer of protective membrane covering the inside of the mouth

Celiac disease: It is an auto-immune disease associated with the consumption of gluten (in persons pre-disposed to it)

Behcet’s disease: Inflammation of tissues and blood vessels
