Arrhythmia - Abnormal rate or rhythm of the heartbeat.

Atrial Fibrillation - A disorder of heart rhythm in which the normally regular contractions of the atria of the heart are replaced by rapid and random twitching, resulting in irregular and usually faster than usual contractions of the ventricles.

Atrial Flutter - an irregular heartbeat in which the upper chambers of the heart (the atria) beat rapidly but consistently.

Bradycardia - A slow heart rate, usually defined as less than 60 beats per minute.

Cardioversion - Electrical shock applied to the chest to convert an abnormal heartbeat to normal.

Coronary Artery Disease - Coronary artery bypass grafting or CABG is an open-heart procedure to relieve the blockages of the arteries of the heart.

Gravid Uterus - Uterus during pregnancy.

Mitral Valve Prolapse - it is a myxomatous degeneration where the mitral valve leaflets and its sub-valvular apparatus are affected.

Palpitations - Awareness of ones own heart beat.

Premature Ventricular Contractions - An abnormal discharge from the ventricles before the normal sinus electricity arrives. This causes the ventricles to contract sooner than a normal beat.

Syncope – Loss of consciousness.

Tachycardia - An abnormally rapid heart rate (more than 100 beats per minute).

Valvular Heart Disease – Disease of the heart valves.

Valvuloplasty – A surgical method to repair the diseased heart valve.

Ventricular Fibrillation - Disorganized, rapid contractions of the muscle of the two ventricles [largest chambers] of the heart, incompatible with life.

Ventricular Tachycardia - Regular heart rate which originates electrically in the ventricles of the heart and which is so abnormally fast that pumping efficiency is severely compromised, causing breathlessness, intolerance of effort, and eventually heart failure.
