Follicle Stimulating Hormone: A hormone produced by the pituitary gland that controls estrogen production by the ovaries.Hormonal Therapy: Treatment of cancer by removing, blocking, or adding hormones. Also called hormone therapy or endocrine therapy.
Osteomalacia: Another name given to rickets when it occurs in adults.
Osteoporosis: A disease in which bones become thin, weak and are easily fractured.
Progesterone: Female sex hormone released by the ovaries during every menstrual cycle to prepare the uterus for pregnancy and the breasts for milk production.
