Dactylitis- Inflammation of a finger or a toe

Splenic sequestration- Blood retention in spleen

Necrosis- Premature death of cells and tissue

Anemia- Low RBCs or hemoglobin

Autosomal- Associated with chromosomes other than the sex chromosomes, X and Y

Amniocentesis- A prenatal diagnostic procedure whereby amniotic fluid is drawn for study from a pregnant woman
