Joint: The point of contact or articulation between two or more bones where movement occurs.Ligament: Fibrous, slightly elastic band of tissue which connects the ends of bones and prevents excessive movement of the joint, or holds organs in place.
Osteoarthritis: Degenerative joint disease due to wear and tear of the joint cartilage
Rheumatoid arthritis: Rheumatoid arthritis is a disease of the connective tissues that usually appears in the form of painful swelling in the joints of the hands and feet. The condition often worsens over time, causing joint deformities and disability.
Gout: A condition in which excess uric acid may lead to arthritis and kidney stones.
Arthrocentesis: Surgical puncture of a joint cavity for aspiration of fluid.
Arthroscopy: It is an endoscopic procedure which evaluates the level of damage in the joints.
