Aneurysm: A weakening of an arterial wall that results in a bulge or distension of the artery.Arachnoid: A delicate membrane surrounding the brain and spinal cord, situated between the dura mater and the pia mater, which collectively form the meninges, the covering of the brain and spinal cord.
CSF: Abbreviation for cerebrospinal fluid, which bathes the brain and spinal cord and supplies nutrients.
Hemorrhage: Bleeding from a ruptured blood vessel.
Infarction: Death of tissue (necrosis) due to inadequate blood supply.
Ischemia: An inadequate supply of blood leading to hypoxia in an organ or part of the body.
Pituitary Apoplexy: Infarction or hemorrhage of the pituitary gland.
