Symptoms of Cystitis
Painful or burning micturition, urgency to urinate, fever, lower abdominal pain, and foul-smelling urine can be seen in cystitis.
In a typical attack of cystitis, an individual will usually feel one or more of the following-
- Burning micturition
- A need to pass urine more often than usual and although one may be bursting to go, there may be hardly any urine to pass.
- An urgency to pass urine for fear of losing control.
- Fever.
- Pain in the lower abdomen or back.
The urine may be cloudy or opaque and sometimes it may be tinged red or orange due to some blood in it. It has a foul or strong odor.
