Contraindications of Gastroscopy
Gastroscopy should not be done in the presence of the following conditions -
- Heart attack
- Low oxygen content of the blood
- Low blood pressure, regardless of etiology
- Massive upper GI bleeding with low blood pressure where emergency surgery is necessary
- Uncontrolled hypertension
