Contraindications of Gastroscopy

Gastroscopy should not be done in the presence of the following conditions -

Heart attack
Low oxygen content of the blood
Low blood pressure, regardless of etiology
Massive upper GI bleeding with low blood pressure where emergency surgery is necessary
Uncontrolled hypertension
