Low Salt Recipes
You can mix all ingredients listed under each title separately in a small bowl. Transfer contents to shaker and store. Use each mix according to your choice as an alternative to salt in the dishes that you prepare in order to get different flavours and taste that can take your mind off the craving for salt.
Spicy mix
- Dried savoury (crumbled) - 2 tablespoons
- Onion powder - 2-1/2 teaspoons
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Curry powder -1/4 teaspoon
- Cumin (ground) - 1/4 teaspoon
- Mustard (dry) -1 tablespoon
- Freshly ground pepper (white) 1/4 teaspoon
Salt free delight
- Lemon rind powdered -1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 2 teaspoons
- Basil -1 teaspoon
- Oregano -1 teaspoon
Zesty seasoning
- Rosemary -1 tablespoon
- Paprika - 2 teaspoons
- Pepper -1 teaspoon
- Cloves -1 teaspoon
- Crushed coriander seeds - 1 teaspoon
Fiery Herb
- Crumbled basil leaves/ dill weed(dry) 2 tablespoons
- Onion powder - 2 tablespoons
- Celery seed -1 teaspoon
- Dried, crumbled oregano leaves – a pinch
- Freshly ground pepper - a pinch
