Fish Allergy
Among all food allergies, fish allergy causes most severe and dangerous symptoms. Thankfully, fish allergy is the easiest to avoid.
Just like egg allergy, fumes of fish while cooking can trigger off an allergic reaction. Some individuals have had reactions by the mere smell of fish or even walking past a fish market.
Fishes that commonly trigger allergic reactions are pollock, snapper, salmon, tuna, cod, eel, and tilapia.
Cross Reaction: People allergic to one type of fish are most likely to have similar reactions for several others as the protein which causes the allergic reaction remains same in all the fishes. Therefore, for such individuals, it is best to avoid all fishes.
