They travel passively through the bloodstream, while carrying the active anticancer agents with them. A: There are various routes of drug delivery system. Oral, intravenous, intramuscular, sublingual, topical (as cream or gel on skin), inhalation, vaginal or rectal routes are most common. The route of administration depends on the drug used and its target organ.
