Expenses on vitamins and tonics, unless forming part of the treatment for injury or diseases as certified by the attending physician.
Under this clause, vitamins and tonics that are prescribed by the physician or nursing home, supported with proper documentary proof, are only eligible for reimbursement by Insurance. This is in tune with the treatment of the disease or ailment being sought at the hospital.
Vitamins and tonics bought for personal use without the prescription of the concerned doctor attracts repudiation of the pharmacy bills.
