Research has specifically targeted constituents such as Resveratrol and Flavonoids, which are found abundantly in the skin and seeds of red grapes. Besides preventing the onset of heart disease, Resveratrol also prevents subsequent heart attacks in a person who has already suffered one.
Resveratrol raises the level of HDL, which is the ‘good cholesterol’ and lowers the level of LDL, or the ‘bad cholesterol’. Resveratrol also helps to minimize the formation of clots and alleviates the damage to blood vessel caused by plaque deposition.
