Secondhand smoke is a known human carcinogen.

Health hazards of passive smoking include-

  • Increases the risk of lung cancer.
  • Children who are exposed to second hand smoke have twice the risk of getting asthma and asthmatic bronchitis. They also have a higher risk of developing cold, allergies and pneumonia.

  • Infants are more prone to severe respiratory infections and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
