The cravings that you feel after a busy working day may not be for sugar. It may be a call to keep your blood sugar under control. It is time to reach out for healthy food and not for the chocolate box. The body will get enough satisfaction from crunchy raw veggies, fresh fruits, cereals, a cup of milk, egg, or low fat cheese and paneer.

Another way to feed the body is by exercising. Go for a brisk walk, run, jog, do jumping jacks, kick boxing, abdominal crunches, push ups. Then you will realize that your body needs exercise and not food. Be intelligent while choosing your snacks. Most Indian men have the tendency to hit on a packet of wafers and cola after coming back from office. This is definitely not a healthy practice and this is not going to benefit you in any way. In fact, it is going to make you all the more lethargic. Snack on healthy food like roasted nuts, fruits, butter milk or roasted grams.

To remain fit and to lose weight, one should not go on crash dieting. This is not going to help you in any way in fact you will pile on more weight once you go back to normal diet. Eat in moderation; exercise throughout your life and soon you will reach your ideal weight.
