Patellar tendon: A tendon that connects the patella or the knee cap to the tibia
Hamstring muscles: Muscles of the back of the thigh which include biceps femoris, semimembranosus and semitendinosus
Spinal anesthesia: A type of regional anesthesia, where the anesthetic is injected into the backbone
Synovial tissue: Tissue that lines the joint and secretes a fluid called synovial fluid
