Ear, Nose, Throat (ENT) Surgery and Procedures - Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Which doctor should I consult?

If you suffer from any health condition your first point of contact should be your general physician. If you have been informed about a need for ENT surgery or have reason to believe that a health problem you suffer from could be better treated with ENT surgery then consult an ENT specialist or ENT surgeon.

2. Is hospitalization necessary after surgery?

Routine minor ENT surgeries like a tonsillectomy do not require extended hospitalization and patients are usually discharged the same day of the procedure, but procedures like neck dissection that are more complex could require longer hospitalization.
