Diverticulitis: Diverticulosis is a condition where small outpouchings are formed through the wall of the intestine. Inflammation of the diverticula is called diverticulitis

Crohn’s disease: Inflammatory disease that affects the small as well as the large intestines

Familial adenomatous polyposis: Condition where several polyps are formed in the colon. The polyps could turn cancerous if the affected part of the intestine is not surgically removed
