Gingiva: A soft tissue layer covering the bone supporting the teeth

Gingivitis: Inflammation of the gums surrounding the teeth. Signs of gingivitis are inflamed and bleeding gums

Periodontium: Connective tissue attaching the teeth to the alveolar bone

Periodontal disease: Damage to the gums

ANUG: It is a rapidly spreading destructive disease of the gum

Scaling: Non- Surgical treatment to remove plaque

Mouth rinse: Anti septic mouth wash to enhance oral hygiene
